Exam Information

Part I
General, clinical or combined
  • Basic medical physics and radiation measurement principle
  • Basic medical knowledge and applications for medical physics.
  • A Part I KMPCB contains a total of 100 test questions and 3 hours of time is allowed.
Part II
PBT written exam
  • In-depth knowledge for clinical medical physics competence
  • A Part II KMPCB contains a total of 100 test questions and 3 hours of time is allowed.
Part III
PBT Oral exam
  • Communication skill and one to one question and answer regarding clinical medical physics
  • Examiners should be much experienced clinical medical physicists and clinician
  • Total oral exam duration will be within 150 minutes
    (5 questions for 5 categories, namely, approx. 6 min. for each question to answer)

Qualification
Part 1.
General (General, Clinical or Combined)) / written exam
Eligibility ① Applicable to those who have a degree from a K-CAMPEP-accredited program
  • A. Applicants who are either holders of a Master's or Doctoral degree or students currently enrolled in Master's or Doctoral programs at a K-CAMPEP
  • B. For a master’s or doctoral degree, those who have obtained a degree after K-CAMPEP certification
  • C. Regardless of clinical experience
② Medical physicists with a Master’s or Doctoral degree, including those from non-K-CAMPEP accredited programs.
Part 2.
Therapeutic Medical Physics (TMP) or Nuclear Medical Physics (NMP) / written exam
Eligibility ① Among those who passed the Part 1 exam
  • A. More than 5 years of clinical experience with master's degree
  • B. More than 2 years of clinical experience with doctoral degree
Part 3.
Therapeutic Medical Physics (TMP) or Nuclear Medical Physics (NMP) / oral test
Eligibility ① Individuals who have passed the Part 2 exam

* Duration for maintaining eligibility after obtaining exam qualification: 5 years
